Great hold but still moveable
Product feels a little clumpy when removing from pot, but once you work it through your hands, it’s spreads perfectly into your hair. It provides a great hold without being rigid. I’ve used other pomades that start to flake or break down through the day, but have yet to have an issue with this stuff. I’m sold.

TRUE all day hold
If you are a guy looking for true all day hold for your hair, look no further than Malin + Goetz Hair Pomade. Without weighing down your hair or adding any greasiness or clubs, the M + G Pomade keeps your hair in place all day long. Doesn't matter if you wear a hat, get caught in a wind storm, whatever. Just work it in while your hair is still damp, comb or brush it, and you're done. I've used gels and sprays on my flighty hair. They typically work for a few hours, but once you 'break' their hold (like run your fingers through your hair), they're done. Not this product. While it does make my hair feel thicker, it's never greasy and it's easy to get out in the shower. Why four stars? It's $22. At a lower price, it would be a five all the way.

Dull and no hold
Scent is citrusy and minimum and disappears shortly into wear. I have thick, straight hair in a slicked-back, tapered back and sides, 6 inches long on top (yeah, still doing that Brad Pitt Fury thing; its a fierce look! Also, the cut is definitely not a full-on "undercut" as some will tell ya; he's got it tapered/faded in the film. We as Men could all use a lesson as to how to talk to our Barbers). Applied product in towel dried hair shortly after a shower, after fully drying it left hair feeling sticky and looking fluffy and had virtually no hold: flyaways and dry stray hairs. I did not use a hair dryer. This product left my hair looking dull and dead. My coat is sleek, shiny and smooth from proper diet and exercise: until I put this stuff in. It looks like I powdered by hair. It aged my locks 10 years. Washes out no problemo. The ingredients list is kind of terrifying...so if you're crunchy bronola trying to keep it dapper AND natural: steer clear. GQ recommended, but what do they know? Not for me. A bit spendy for a trial run, but that's business.

5-stars when it’s good, 3-stars for inconsistency
Really hit-or-miss when ordering this product from Amazon. If fresh/new, it’s a great, light, easy-to-washout pomade (scent is only okay, but hold is more important to me). However, sometimes when ordering from Amazon, it arrives super caky and dried out. Just inconsistent.

Only pomade that has worked for my hair
I have very thick hair and I have always had to use really awful strong hold gels to make my hair last the day. This is the first pomade I have used that works for my hair! I’d recommend if you have had issues with other pomades holding through out the day.

Best hair products I have ever used!
Best pomade I've tried. I have pretty thick hair that has a natural curl and wave. Malin & Goetz Pomade is a greaseless smooth paste that holds firm while still looking natural. Allows to resculpt anytime with little to no effort and washes out with ease.

My favorite hair product by far. Highly recommend... when COVID hit, I ordered like 6 of them to make sure I didn’t run out during any shut-down. Really fantastic... highly recommend. Hold is great — definitely a matte finish which I prefer... not high sheen.
